ShieldCall Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 28, 2026
1. Overview
ShieldCall is a call blocking app for Android designed to work with on-device privacy and user-controlled rules. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use ShieldCall, how that information is used, and what choices you have.
2. Our Privacy Approach
ShieldCall is built so that core call blocking logic works locally on your device.
- Your custom blocking rules are stored on your device.
- Your blocked call history is stored on your device.
- Your contacts are not uploaded by ShieldCall to our servers.
- ShieldCall does not use cloud call screening to decide which calls to block.
3. Information Processed by the App
3.1 Information processed on your device
- Incoming phone numbers: Used to evaluate whether a call matches your enabled rules.
- Custom rules and preferences: Used to apply the blocking behavior you configure.
- Call history created by the app: Used so you can review blocked calls inside ShieldCall.
- Contacts, if permission is granted: Used to help avoid blocking trusted numbers saved in your address book.
3.2 Information that may be processed by third-party services
Some optional or supporting services may process limited data outside your device:
- Google Play Billing: Used to process purchases or subscriptions. Payment information is handled by Google, not by ShieldCall.
- Firebase Analytics: May collect aggregated app usage information if enabled in the app experience.
- Firebase Crashlytics: May collect crash diagnostics to help identify bugs and improve reliability.
- Google AdMob: If ads are shown in the app, Google may process advertising-related data according to its own policies and your device settings.
4. How Information Is Used
- To evaluate and apply your blocking and allow rules.
- To show your local blocked call history and related app state.
- To keep your saved contacts from being blocked when that feature is enabled.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve app stability and performance.
- To support purchases and premium features through Google Play.
5. Data Sharing
TLS STUDIO does not sell your personal contacts, call history, or custom rules.
ShieldCall may rely on third-party providers such as Google for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and billing. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Data Retention
- On-device data: Your local rules and local blocking history remain on your device until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
- Third-party service data: Analytics, crash, billing, or advertising data retention is governed by the applicable third-party provider.
7. Your Choices
- You can choose whether to grant contacts and phone-related permissions, subject to app functionality requirements.
- You can manage app data locally through Android settings.
- You can manage subscriptions and purchases through your Google Play account.
- You can manage advertising and related privacy controls through your device and Google account settings where applicable.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to reduce unnecessary data exposure and to keep core filtering local to the device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
ShieldCall is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
10. International Users
If third-party providers process information, that processing may occur in countries other than your own, subject to the provider's infrastructure and policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
